1) Material: Different
material properties cost more than others do. Therefore considerations such
as the operating environment and corrosion resistance must be taken into
consideration.
2) Quantity: The larger
the quantity the less the piece price will be. Larger volume orders such as
blanket orders will push the costs down by spreading the manufacturing costs
over a larger portion.
3) Finishing: Does the
material need to be electro-plated or can a pre plated material be use?
4) Packaging: Can the
product be bulk packed or do they need to be separated in layers or put into
plastic bags? Is tangling a problem ? If so parts
may have to be placed on a tacky board.
